Ingredients

  • 25 fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried

For the chocolate coating:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate melts
  • 1 cup white chocolate melts
  • Food coloring (optional, for colored white chocolate)

For the decorations:

  • Assorted sprinkles (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp chopped caramel (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
  • Edible gold powder or glitter (optional)

For assembly:

  • 25 thin bamboo skewers

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. It’s crucial that they are completely dry before dipping to ensure the chocolate adheres properly. Insert a bamboo skewer into the top of each strawberry, where the leaves are.
  • In separate bowls, melt the dark chocolate and white chocolate according to package instructions. If you’d like to add color to the white chocolate, stir in a few drops of food coloring once melted.
  • Hold a strawberry by the skewer and dip it into the melted dark chocolate, twisting slightly to ensure it’s fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off, then place it on a parchment-lined tray. Repeat with half of the strawberries.
  • Dip the remaining strawberries in the white chocolate. For a marbled effect, drizzle a bit of the dark chocolate over the white-dipped strawberries while they are still wet, then use a toothpick to swirl the colors gently. Alternatively, wait until the white chocolate sets, then drizzle dark chocolate over it in thin lines to create a striped or layered effect for added texture and style.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your chosen decorations over the strawberries—sprinkles, chopped caramel, nuts, or a light dusting of edible gold powder for a luxurious touch.
  • Place the tray in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely.
  • For an elegant presentation, arrange the chocolate-covered strawberries in a small bouquet of flowers or on a decorative plate. They’re ready to impress!
