These Domino’s Cinnamon Twists are soft, buttery, and coated in cinnamon sugar. Easy to make and perfect for a sweet treat, serve them warm for a delicious snack!
Combine lukewarm water, milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the bread flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the wet yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
Shape the Cinnamon Twists:
Cut the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into a log. Fold each log into a ribbon shape by making a loop and crossing one end over the other. Press gently in the center to secure the shape.
Place the shaped twists on a lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and let them proof at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Bake the Twists
While the dough is proofing, preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Once the dough has rested, brush the twists with melted butter and sprinkle them generously with cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 17-20 minutes, until the bottoms are golden and caramelized. Remove from the oven, brush with more melted butter, and give them a final sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.
