A warm, creamy blend of Earl Grey tea, vanilla, and steamed milk, this London Fog Latte is easy to make at home. Customize the sweetness, add a touch of lavender, and enjoy a cozy café-style drink in minutes.
2cupsunsweetened almond milk(or any milk of your choice)
2Earl Grey tea bags(or 2-4 teaspoons loose leaf)
1tspvanilla extract
2tbsphoney or maple syrup(or a sugar-free sweetener to taste)
pinch of lavender
Instructions
In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle simmer. Remove from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags (and lavender, if using). Let it steep for about 5 minutes to fully develop the flavors.
Next, pour the almond milk into the brewed tea and warm it gently over low heat. Be careful not to bring it to a boil—just warm enough to blend smoothly with the tea. Stir in the vanilla extract and honey or sweetener, adjusting the sweetness to your liking.
If you added lavender, strain the mixture using a fine sieve to remove any small pieces. This ensures a smooth and silky texture in every sip.
For that authentic latte experience, froth additional almond milk or cream using a frother. If you don’t have one, you can shake warm milk in a jar or whisk it vigorously until foamy.
Pour your London Fog into a cozy mug and top with the frothed milk. For an extra special touch, sprinkle a little lavender or a dusting of cinnamon on top.
